Kisoro District – Chaos, gunfire, and sheer terror rocked Mugomberero Trading Centre on Tuesday night as four ruthless gunmen turned a quiet village into a war zone — shooting a young shop attendant and vanishing into the darkness with a jaw-dropping Shs 23 million!
It all went down at exactly 8:30 PM in Rushenyi Village, Soko Parish, when masked thugs armed to the teeth stormed the popular shop of local businessman Turinayo Michael. With no warning, they opened fire — bullets flying in all directions.
Elly Maate the area police spokesman says many bullets were shot to scare away people who were around the said trading center and thereafter they ran away.
“A report was made at the police, the scene was visited, processed and documented,
exhibits of 09 cartridges were recovered and the
victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment”.ASP Maate says.
Police adds that Inquiries into this matter have commenced and efforts to have the suspect arrested.
