Kanungu, the time has come. The drums of 2026 are beating louder by the day, and while others are sharpening their tongues and oiling their campaign vehicles, a different kind of leader is stepping forward, quietly, humbly, but with a presence that speaks louder than political noise. That leader is none other than Rev. Venerable Justus Tibesigwa.
For years, we have watched politicians come and go—some promising roads that never appear, others showing up every five years with sugar, soap, and speeches. They call it politics. But Kanungu has grown wiser. We are no longer looking for who shouts the loudest or who hands out the biggest envelopes. We are looking for integrity. We are looking for a servant. And this time, we are choosing differently.
Rev. Tibesigwa is not just a man of the cloth, he is a man of the people. He has been in our homes, in our churches, mosques, in our struggles.
While others were chasing tenders and positions, he was standing by our sickbeds, praying with grieving families, educating children, and counseling the troubled.
He has never needed a convoy to be respected, and he has never needed a microphone to be heard. His life speaks for itself.
Uganda’s politics has long needed a moral reset and Kanungu can be the place where that change begins. In a system that often rewards greed and forgets the grassroots, Rev. Tibesigwa brings a refreshing difference.
He doesn’t see leadership as an opportunity to eat, he sees it as a responsibility to serve. He doesn’t fear elections, he fears God. And that fear alone makes him ten times more trustworthy than many who have passed through the LC5 seat before.
He knows this district like the back of his hand. He doesn’t need to be told about the crumbling roads in Kayonza or the underfunded schools in Kinaba. He has seen them, he has taught in them. He has lived with the people affected by them. And unlike those who only show up with cameras and promises, he has shown up with comfort, with action, and with real concern.
Some say religious leaders don’t belong in politics. But maybe that’s exactly the problem we have had too many politicians and not enough true leaders. Maybe what Kanungu needs isn’t another schemer in a suit, but a shepherd with a vision. A man who believes leadership is about accountability, justice, and development not drama and deception.
Reverend Tibesigwa doesn’t belong to a political cartel. He belongs to the people. And whether you are Catholic, Anglican, Pentecostal, Muslim, or not religious at all ,you can recognize honesty when you see it. You can feel integrity when it walks into a room. And that’s what this man carries.
This isn’t just a campaign, it’s a calling. Rev. Tibesigwa didn’t wake up one day chasing power.
He was called to serve first by God, and now by the people. 2026 is not just another election. It is Kanungu’s chance to reset, to rise, and to say enough is enough to the politics of empty promises.
So let the others bring their songs, their t-shirts, and their temporary smiles. But come election day, let us bring something stronger, our voices, our votes, and our values. Because Kanungu deserves better. And with Rev. Venerable Justus Tibesigwa, better is finally possible.
My people of Kanungu, Let’s make history. Let’s make it holy.
Rev. Justus Tibesigwa for LC5 Chairman – Kanungu 2026. Leadership with a conscience. Service with a purpose.

What a sweet polished sieved write up!
I just enjoyed the aroma from the spicing of the interwoven poetic devices selected .
You can now occupy Ngugi’s position, now that he is gone!
With this write-up, even the deaf will hear the truth, the blind will see the cause and the lame will walk to vote👌
